I'm back :)
I can't believe i've been slacking on my blog for over a year! How did time slip by me so fast? Well I'll give a little update. I've been working in daycare during the past year and 2 months! I have loved almost every minute of it. The moments i haven't enjoyed as much are the baby diaper blowouts... the potty trainers that try to hid when they have an accident by trying to "fix it" themselves.... and the kids that authority issues that scream in your face and the only thing you can do about it at that moment is put them in time out or take them to the office. But those moments are few and far between. I love walking by a room and hearing "Hi Ms Jeffer!" (They can't get that middle syllable in there most of the time) I love the hugs and kisses they give so freely. I love seeing their eyes light up when they learn something new. I love watching them get excited about saying their Bible verses. Pretty much... I have an awesome job :). I'm helping Tina (my boss) in the office right now. Summer is just too busy to have only one person in the office. We're going to be starting on some renovations soon too! We started painting the trim in the office on Friday (15th). We'll keep working on the office painting this coming week and maybe next weekend move to the fellowship hall/afterschool room to start painting! Just gotta get those funds in to do all the projects we would like to do!
The other update in my life is that I've started couponing! I kept seeing everyone save 40,50,60% off their grocery bills so i was determined to find out how they were doing it! Its not that hard actually. I just keep a 3 ring binder with pocket dividers. I put each Sunday's coupon inserts in a divider marked for that week. I go to Southernsavers.com which has been a huge help. They have all the sell items at the stores linked with the coupons to go with them. I don't have to use my brain too much :). Lately I've been able to get some free stuff like Nexcare bandaids, Scotch tape, Scotch scissors for kids and the office, cat food, Cascade dish detergent, Nesquick (mmmm :P) Josh has been enjoying the extra savings. I tell him its my "part-time" job. I invest about 2-3 hours a week in getting my lists and coupons together. But then I don't mindlessly go to the grocery store like I had been. I know which store (sometimes stores) that I am going too and what I'm getting there, and about how much it will cost!
In other news... Josh and I (along with Brad and Cheryl... and peanut) will be going to Disney World at the end of September! I can't wait for vacation!! Before then, Josh and I hope to go on a mini weekend trip for our anniversary! I can't believe it's been almost 3 years that we've been married!
Well its time for some birthday celebrating! Y'all have a good weekend :)

Sunny Side Up!
Not sure why I titled this blog that, but I did... it was the first thing that popped in my head :) I can't believe I've neglected blogging for 2 months... shame shame on me. Nothing much has been going on though. Josh and I went on vacation to Hilton Head island, and also spent a day in Savannah visiting his grandma and other site seeing. Then we went up to goldsboro for the weekend, and I stayed for a few more days while Joshy went back to SC.
I've been working on my little space of a backyard. Grass is finally starting to grow, and I have some flowers and mulch out between the trees. Hopefully the grass will thicken up some and look like a real yard. My neighbors on the right side of us keep their yard up... but the neighbors to the right have enough leaves to fill a forest.
We are getting some new material for our Sunday school class. We teach 1st-6th grade which is a huge age range. So the material we were using was for 3rd-4th graders. We only have 5th and 6th graders for now, so we asked to get some new stuff for them. Josh and I are also considering using some of our own ideas such as "why do you believe what you believe". I think they are at a good age to start really thinking why they believe what they do. We don't want them to just rely on what they have been told, but really study the Bible and find for themselves why they believe the things they do. It might be a little deep for them, but I think it will go over well. It'll be a good study for Josh and I also!
I'm still job searching. I'd like to get back into childcare of some sort. I've enjoyed this past year and half not having to work, but I miss it. I also have to pay my school bills now. Mama had been paying for mine and brad's school bills. I can't believe she had about 1/2 of both our bills paid for! She must have put most all her paychecks on our loans. That's the kinda of mother she was though. She gave till she couldn't give anymore!
Josh is massaging my feet right now. He's the only one that doesn't tickle my feet when he touches them. It's making me sleepy :)
Just saw a commercial for Ihop... mmm... looks sooo good... maybe some other time!
Hope its not another 2 months before I remember to blog again!

Fishy business
Josh and I have been trying to eat good the past 2 weeks. We have been eating mainly fish and veggies and fruit. For snacks we try to eat either fruit or whole grain snacky stuff. Its not been as bad as it sounds, mainly because i LOVE fish! Take me to a seafood buffet and you have one happy girl on your hands! Last week i lost 3.1 lbs and josh lost 5.4 lbs. Obviously we are doing something right. Weigh in days are on Saturday. We'll see how this week has been tomorrow! Tonight I wanted to do something a little different. So i went through my cookbooks and found a recipe for a Salmon Veggie bake. No it's not a casserole... but it looks like something you would have to pay high bucks for at a restaurant. It has thinly sliced carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic, orange peel shreds, oregano, salt, and pepper topped with a piece of salmon fillet. On the salmon you put some thinly sliced orange pieces. All that is assembled in a piece of foil and wrapped up, then baked in the oven. We'll see how that turns out! Here's the link to the recipe in case anyone wants to try it.

Getting back to things...
January was not the month I expected it to be. It's been 3 1/2 weeks since my grandma passed away and 2 1/2 weeks since my mom passed away. I keep having those moments of "i should call her and tell her... " for both of them. It's not easy, but I can honestly say that I'm glad I am a Christian during times like these. I'd hate to be an unsaved person that doesn't have that comfort that God gives to His children!
Josh and I have started getting back in a routine. I'm getting back into my PC stuff with a show next saturday! Josh is still working hard with his job! We have decided to start really working on our eating style. Its easy to have a week or maybe even two weeks of good habits... but then this and that comes up and it goes out the window. But this has been our first full day of eating right, and I must say it went well! I need to go to bed though so I don't keep walking towards the kitchen in hopes of a snack jumping out of the cabinet and into my hands by accident ;). So on that note, I will say goodnight!

Happy New Year
I hope everyone has had a great holiday season. It's a new year... so what are your goals for this year? One of my main goals is to know my God better. We wont ever be able to know everything about God in our lifetime, but we can strive to know as much as possible. This is my philosophy... We love spending time with friends-hanging out, talking on the phone, etc.... If God is our friend, shouldn't we desire the same for Him- reading His Word ("hanging out"), prayer ("talking on the phone". If you have a friend with you and you are around other people, do you introduce that person to your other friends? Or do you shove them in a corner really quick so the other people don't know that your friend is with you? When you are around other people do they know you have a friend with you (Christ) or do you shove Him "in a corner" so other people don't know He is with you?
Well that's my little encouragement for the beginning of the year! Something I'll have to keep reminding myself everyday! I hope you have a wonderful year!

I can't believe its been over a month since my last post... doesn't time just fly by? So i'll try to give you an update in a nutshell! We went to Disney Oct 9-16... It was soo much fun!
(insert Toby's (the cat) message here... \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
897y66666666666jhnmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmkew65... He likes to walk across my keyboard)
Anyway... as I was trying to say.... Disney was so much fun! I enjoyed Epcot the most cuase I could ride everything there :D. I'm not much of a roller coaster person... ok, i'm a non roller coaster type of person... but everything at Epcot I could ride! Animal Kingdom was fun too! The Safari ride was great! Wednesday of the week we were there, my back started hurting. We all still went to the park, but after about 3 hours, I couldn't stand it anymore. I could hardly go from sitting to standing or visa versa. And walking was just as painful. So Josh and I went back to the condo and i got some ice and Aleve and went to bed. Josh went and picked up Brad and Cheryl later on. Of course on Thursday I was in no way ready to go anywhere, so Josh and I just stayed at the condo and Brad and Cheryl went with out us.
Now I have a cat laying on my hand as I type... so sorry if there are any typos :)...
My back finally got better about a week later. It was good to see Josh's grandma on the way down and back up. She lives in GA.
Sine we have been back nothing too exciting has gone on. I've been in goldsboro since the 29th of Oct and I'll be going back on the 12th or 13th.
My parents still have 3 of the kittens... which are now more like teenage cats! And they are all sitting around or on me right at this moment... the mom is up on the back of the chair with Maddie. Chloe is to my left on the arm of the chair and Toby is literally stretched out across my wrist making it a little difficult to type. Hes going to be going to the vet in the morning. We think he's got something. He hasn't been growing much and is starting to look too skinny. His eyes also look funny. If any of you hear about someone that would like 2 kittens, let me know!
Well I think thats all for now ! Have a great rest of the weekend!
