I can't believe its been over a month since my last post... doesn't time just fly by? So i'll try to give you an update in a nutshell! We went to Disney Oct 9-16... It was soo much fun!

Anyway... as I was trying to say.... Disney was so much fun! I enjoyed Epcot the most cuase I could ride everything there :D. I'm not much of a roller coaster person... ok, i'm a non roller coaster type of person... but everything at Epcot I could ride! Animal Kingdom was fun too! The Safari ride was great! Wednesday of the week we were there, my back started hurting. We all still went to the park, but after about 3 hours, I couldn't stand it anymore. I could hardly go from sitting to standing or visa versa. And walking was just as painful. So Josh and I went back to the condo and i got some ice and Aleve and went to bed. Josh went and picked up Brad and Cheryl later on. Of course on Thursday I was in no way ready to go anywhere, so Josh and I just stayed at the condo and Brad and Cheryl went with out us.







Now I have a cat laying on my hand as I type... so sorry if there are any typos :)...

My back finally got better about a week later. It was good to see Josh's grandma on the way down and back up. She lives in GA.


Sine we have been back nothing too exciting has gone on. I've been in goldsboro since the 29th of Oct and I'll be going back on the 12th or 13th.

My parents still have 3 of the kittens... which are now more like teenage cats! And they are all sitting around or on me right at this moment... the mom is up on the back of the chair with Maddie. Chloe is to my left on the arm of the chair and Toby is literally stretched out across my wrist making it a little difficult to type. Hes going to be going to the vet in the morning. We think he's got something. He hasn't been growing much and is starting to look too skinny. His eyes also look funny. If any of you hear about someone that would like 2 kittens, let me know!

Over the past month....

Wow, its been an entire month since i've updated my blog. I've been updating my mom's blog, but have sadly neglected mine. So here's for a month's worth of update...


I've been back in forth from Goldsboro and Greenville several times. Mama and I have had so much fun staying up late and just having alot of girl time. There were several nights that i'm falling asleep on the couch and mama is wide awake. Who knows where this energy came from. Now I'm not talking its only 11 PM and i'm falling asleep. I had very good reason to be falling asleep at 2 AM. :D. We watched all of season 1 of 7th Heaven, and are only 4 episodes of completing season 2! Too bad that was the only seasons I have. Maybe I'll find seasons 3 on a good sale somewhere! and then seasons 4-11 :D. Yeah, I didn't realize there were that many seasons! My Aunt Judy came over a couple nights to spend the night and we had really fun girl nights!

While I've been back to my house I've been trying to decorate for fall... but its not as easy as one would think for a condo. There's not really room outside to decorate much and just as little room inside to do much. I went shopping with my friend Caroline on saturday. It was so good to see her. I hadn't seen her since May. She had gone to work at a camp for the summer, and since she's been back I've either been out of town, or our schedules just didn't work out! My hubby has been such a good hubby! Everytime I've come back home, he's had the house clean for me so I didn't have to worry about that!

Now, I have to get us packed and ready for our trip to DISNEY!!!!WOOT!!! I'm so excited to be going. I haven't been since I was 6 yrs old! Brad and Cheryl are coming to our house thursday and then all 4 of us will leave Friday morning bright and early to head to Florida! I will post pics when we get back!

Time now to get ready for the day and go meet the hubby for a lunch date!

My time in NC

I've been back in NC for about a week and 1/2. Went with mama to her treatment on Monday, but other than that we kept it pretty low key! Today however we were so busy! We went to church this morning, followed by "kidnapping" mama to take her to Cracker Barrel for lunch! She love it! We didn't want to tell her where we were going so she would have to worry about being away from home or worry about being too tired. I should have know the "being too tired" wouldn't have factored in. :D Once we got back into G-boro we went to Sam's so mama could talk to some of her buddies there! She really misses working there. We had about an hour back home before we were off to church again! Then we went to Cook-Out after church. It was super good and super good prices! For 4.25 you can get one main "entree", 2 sides (things like fries, hushpuppies, 1 chicken wrap, chili, onion rings, 1 chicken quesadilla, and more), and a drink. For a dollar more you can sub the drink for a wonderfully awesome spectacular milk shake.... oh was it good :D. I'm a sucker for cheesecake... but put it in a milkshake and add strawberries and you've hit a major weak spot! Needless to say, we have enough food for a meal tomorrow. I got Chicken tenders... which were more like chicken patties they were so big! I don't know if they were just having a really good night with food, but we had nooo complaints!

Update on the Kittens :D They are sooo adorable. They have been playing alot and climbing and whatever else kittens do! We still need a home for 2 of the kittens. Not quite sure which two yet, but pretty sure its the solid gray and the more stripy gray one. Brad and Cheryl are going to take the calico and one of the blonde ones. And my parents are probably going to keep the other blonde one... but they aren't sure yet! I'll post pics later.


I miss my hubby... but I know I need to be here with my mom right now. BUT i still miss me hubby... :(. I'll prolly be going back home a week from tuesday. Home and Kittens

I've bee home for about a week now, and still have another week to be here! Mama is doing pretty good. We've been enjoying our time together. My parents have adopted... or rather were adopted by a cute little kitty cat. She had 6 kittens about a week ago. One didn't make it, but the other 5 are so adorable! There's 2 gray, 2 blonde, and one black with some splashes of other colors. A couple of them have their eyes wide open today. The rest are either still closed, or just peeping out a little bit! We have been holding them some to get them used to human contact. There's 2 whiners :D. As soon as you pick them up they start cryin' for their mama, and she comes to them! She has been so good to them, but she doesn't get overly protective when we do pick them up. Brad and Cheryl are going to take one, maybe two of them. And I think i've talked my parents into keeping one of them. So we'll have to find a home for the other 2. Hopefully someone we know!

Glory is life's trials

Please pray for my mommy. She's having a lot of tests done to see what is wrong with her (physically, not mentally :P ). She had some done already, and is going in tomorrow for some of those results and also doing some prep work stuff for a colonoscopy that will be on thursday. Sometimes the hardest part is the tests and the waiting for the results.

Sunday we had two awesome services at church. Our pastor is out of town (that's not why they were awesome!) and we had the youth pastor fill in for the AM service and one of our missionaries fill in for the PM service. Matt (our youth pastor) spoke on the 3 things you will always see when revival happens in your life. 1.) you will see God for who He really is 2.) You will see the reality and weight of your own sin in your life 3.) you will see God as a gracious, merciful, and forgiving God. But he also was talking about in one of the side notes that everything we do and everything we go through we can find a way to glorify God. God doesn't put things in our lives to harm us. We may not always see it that way as humans. Our small finite minds can't always understand why something we deem as "bad" in our lives can bring God glory. All we have to realize is that God is going to bring himself glory through it, and we will understand once we get to Heaven.

So what has God put in your life that you think is bad? Can you find a way that it will glorify God? How can my mom's health problems glorify God? We may not know how God is getting glory from this till we get to Heaven. But that's ok, we can keep praising God and thanking Him for all the things He provides us each and every day!

Ok, that was my mini sermon for the day! Just thought I'd share it with you, cause that's what blogs are for right???? :D

Picnic

Josh and I FINALLY went on our first picnic together. I'd been trying to get him to go on one with me for a while, but he kept making reasons (excuses) why we couldn't go. We're trying to stay on a strict budget right now because we're saving for our Disney trip in October (insert a big WOOHOO here)! I finally convinced him that it is cheaper to go on a date to the park and have a picnic than to go to a restaurant and whatever else we decide to do. Even if it is just out to eat, it's hard to get out of a place for less than $20 unless its fast food. Plus there is waiting time for the food, and then you have to leave a tip. So Josh and I went last night to Falls Park on Reedy River in downtown greenville. It was so fun! It was the perfect weather, no bugs, and didn't cost us money! We had turkey sandwiches, with baked cheetos, applesauce, and pudding for dessert! We even saw this guy propose to his girlfriend! I felt like I was intruding on their special moment, even though we were there first!
